The new layout is live! We introduced a contemporary look and feel to the site to give it a bit more elegance. Not all the pages are complete, but the most important functions are available. We are currently working on 3 client projects and 3 of our own, so we are keeping quite busy but not overwhelmed. The number of websites we are hosting is growing at a steady pace. Considering this, we hope to have an upgraded server for all of our clients by the end of the year at the very latest. A few more clients requesting web hosting will provide us enough funds to cover this investment. For all other updates, please read the previous news item added on 2009.05.27.

It has been a while sinse our last company update, so here’s a quick breakdown of what’s going on…

  • news feed : We realize this news feed doesn’t look too pretty, or too organized considering the lack of distinction between each news item, but rest assured we are developing the new feed and it will be live asap. UPDATE! Still not the prettiest, but functional 🙂
  • website : Hope you like the new look!
  • projects : Check out the new projects we have in development! We have also updated our portfolio!!
  • my account : We have begun work on our new client backOffice! Stay tuned for updates.
  • employment : All positions have been filled. We are currently not seeking any new team members. But stay tuned! A big project may come our way and we may need YOU! 🙂

FTPConn 2.0 is complete and polished. There are 3 options for deployment. Use can connect to the application on our home server (very slow). If you have a webserver but do not have root access to the filesystem, we can deploy it without progress bar support (file upload progress indicator). And if you have a webserver with root access, we can deploy with progress bar support. If you would like FTPConn 2.0 installed on your website, please contact us and we will determine the best method of implementation

We will be releasing FTPConn 2.0 within the next week. A formal release notice will be issued under our Projects & Downloads page, and we will be updating our clients websites with the new version at that time. We have made signifcant changes to the application, so we hope you and your clients enjoy the new and improved system! A full set of release note will accompany the release notice.

We have decided against using a mainstream PHP framework for development (our own framework beats them all!). Our future website is in the planning stage. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer doesn’t support all facets of JQuery so we must address this issue in our Help & Support center. In the meantime, you can contact us at our support email address, or call us at 519.697.6720 (Ontario, Canada).

Also, our job postings have been updated!

Already into the New Year! Nope, I haven’t gone anywhere…just really busy. But not too busy for another website overhaul; minor. We are getting new business cards in shortly and we plan to revamp the look of our site to match our ever so important business cards 😉 We also need to take care of the Help & Support section of our site. Internet Explorer doesn’t seem to like JQuery too much 🙁

Our latest interests lie with C++, C# and CodeIgniter (a PHP framework that seems to do a very nice job of providing exactly what we need). Our work on uBudget has slowed down recently. We will have to take another stab at it once we stop getting so much worth-while work to do! We are looking forward to the many new clients in the near future, and welcome our most recent clients! Thanks for helping us keep afloat while we paddle.

Our new website is complete for the time being. We will be updating and adding new features as we go from here. There is no front “splash page” to our site at this time. We are considering a Flash movie or simple static organized text. We have also updated our address, projects & downloads, portfolio and help & support sections. Enjoy for now! 🙂

Our new website is almost complete! Launch will occur shortly.

A quick update on our current projects:

  • iaps.ManagePro will be combined with iaps.Manage. iaps.Manage is the codename for this suite.
  • iaps.Manage is on hold indefinately.
  • uBudget is in the development stage; we expect a BETA release before Christmas.
  • We are also planning a new project, codename: iaps.TopSecret! 🙂 More information to follow once uBudget is in BETA.

Happy Thanksgiving!

After going through the Landmark Education course, we learned a great deal about the world we live in and how to create possibilities that will increase our integrity, maintain a healty lifestyle and be proactive. Our goal at iaps is to increase productivity and efficiency while being compliant to industry standards. Thus, we have begun work on a new project that will help anyone and everyone with important aspects of daily life…including money!

We have yet to mention our new project base called actpath. Actpath is being developed to help people with daily functions and activities; loving life, getting the most out of your time, managing your money, providing motivation and additional information to better yourself and the world around you. Estimated date of release (including all sub-projects): July 4th, 2008.

If you believe you have too much to do on a daily basis, consider this: “You can get the things done that you need to have done by doing the things you don’t need to do less.” We all watch TV…well, most of us at least, not myself though. But we do other things like play on the computer and such. We all need some time to play/relax but we need to keep it in moderation.

For now, let me leave you with 2 things to do: 1) Tell yourself 1 thing you are thankful for today, and 2) create a possibility of doing something and DO IT! For example, if you haven’t talked to someone in a while and you really want to, create the possibility that you will call them and talk to them for at least 10 minutes. “Thinking about doing something isn’t worth the time…taking action and doing something is always worth it!”

Finding time it is! Unfortunately making time is out of the question. We apologize for our lack of integrity regarding our new website and projects in development; they are taking much longer to release than we anticipated. Our work-load is quite overwhelming and we only have so much time to work on our projects. Here are some key points that will quickly help you to understand our overall situation:

  • At this time, there is no guarentee of when our projects will be finalized and released. We will be making a lot of project source code (…for Ticksys, Manage & ManagePro) available for public use and revisions on our new website; which will be released at an undetermined time.
  • iaps.tbox is currently down and will remain out of service for an unestimated amount of time. All of the private client information can still be acessed via iaps.Manage with your username and password.
  • We are still servicing current clients and welcome new ones.

Finding time, or making time? We all need to get lots of things done and some of us feel there is just never enough time — thankfully time is just an illusion. We are currently configuring our tboX with apache HTTP-Server running on Ubuntu. We need a specific setup for one website suite we are working on and we are having slight difficulty setting everything up correctly. We plan to have our server up and running by the end of next week.

RE: New Website! We have worked through many possibilities, 8-12, and we have finally decided on this (layout-demo) for the time being. Enjoy! — As you may see, we have finally moved from table-based layouts to div-based. There is only 1 minor detail that needs attention regarding cross-browser compatibility; but we won’t tell you which part. The great thing about our up and coming site will be the ability to change the entire website color-scheme and tool-boxes that can be moved (left and right side sections). We will also be introducing our Research & Development department with upcoming productions and our Contr!bute center!
